Customized scholarships

In addition to sponsored attendance at animal welfare conferences CFAWA is pleased to announce customized scholarship opportunities.  These comprehensive training plans, customized by each individual to fit their unique needs, can include a variety of training formats and should range from $250-$3,000 total cost.

Leadership

Applicants propose a comprehensive plan to develop their leadership skills in an animal welfare position.  Proposals should include itemized elements of this personalized leadership development plan and corresponding budget for each line item.  Example elements include, but are not limited to:

Leadership Trainings

Membership in a CEO group or Leadership Forum

Individual leadership coaching

Field

Applicants propose a comprehensive plan to develop their field skills and certifications in humane investigations, disaster response, law enforcement or a combination of all three.  Proposals should include itemized elements of this personalized field development plan and corresponding budget for each line item.  Example elements include, but are not limited to:

National Animal Control and Humane Officer certifications

Disaster Response and First Responder certifications

Organizational

Applicants propose a comprehensive training plan to benefit their entire organization through onsite development. Proposals should include itemized elements of this organizational development plan and corresponding budget for each line item.  Example elements include, but are not limited to:

On-site training/seminar/speaker

Organizational evaluation of culture

360 degree Human Resource evaluations
